The Primary Care Cannabis Network is an organisation for GPs who are in interested in learning about medical cannabis as an alternative or additional treatment for their patients.
Its mission is to educate GPs with an understanding of medical cannabis, including the therapeutic potential for patients interested in this alternative therapy, and an understanding into the regulatory landscape within the UK and the various referral pathways which currently exist.
Project TWENTY21 aims to enrol 20,000 patients by the end of 2021, creating the largest body of evidence for the effectiveness and tolerability of medical cannabis – with an aim to demonstrate to policymakers that medical cannabis should be as widely available, and affordable, as other approved medicines for patients who would benefit from them.
