A conference for the clinical community

The Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society returns with its first dedicated clinical conference since 2019: a clinical meeting developed and led by clinicians, for clinicians. The day puts independent learning, open discussion and the realities of patient care first. It is a space to examine real clinical experience, challenge assumptions, explore the evidence and work through difficult clinical questions with professional peers.

Through main-stage sessions, practical breakouts and panel discussions, the programme will explore three connected areas:

  • Emerging science and personalised treatment – exploring new research, differences in individual response and how a better understanding of cannabis-based medicines can inform product selection and prescribing.
  • Complex prescribing decisions – examining higher-THC treatment, tolerance, dependence and psychiatric risk, alongside challenging cases where clinical need and concerns about safety overlap.
  • Practical challenges in everyday care – exploring shared care, professional responsibilities and effective communication with patients and colleagues, particularly when guidance, available evidence and individual patient needs point in different directions.

Clinical practice is the point.

New science. Better prescribing decisions. Difficult questions worth discussing.
Clinical expertise, independent perspectives

Learn directly from clinicians working with cannabis-based medicines. Examine the evidence alongside experience from practice, including where findings remain uncertain and professional views differ. Fully CPD-accredited.

Difficult cases, open discussion

Explore the cases that challenge clinical judgement. Panel discussions and practical breakouts provide space to ask questions, test assumptions and consider how colleagues approach decisions where there is no straightforward answer.

Learning that informs patient care

Take practical insights back to consultations, treatment reviews and conversations with colleagues. Sessions will address assessing response, recognising harm, communicating with patients and knowing when to seek further support.

An opportunity to connect with fellow clinicians

One of the Society’s greatest strengths is its community: clinicians willing to share knowledge, offer support and learn from one another. Our conference is an opportunity to bring those relationships together in person.

The agenda provides time to continue conversations beyond the formal sessions: to reconnect with colleagues, meet clinicians from other specialties and discuss experiences from practice.

These exchanges are an important part of the Society’s work, strengthening the professional relationships that support clinicians in an evolving field.
